This page explains how guides on CA DMV Forms are put together, checked, and kept up to date.
How We Write Each Guide
Every guide starts with the actual form, pulled straight from the official California DMV website. We read through the form itself, work out what each field is asking for, and write instructions in plain language based on that — not by copying descriptions from other websites.
Keeping Guides Accurate
DMV forms, fees, and requirements change from time to time. When we notice a form has been updated or replaced, we update the guide to match. If you spot something that looks outdated or incorrect, please let us know — see the Contact page.
No Paid Placement
Nothing on this site is sponsored, and no form or guide is featured because of payment. This site runs on Google AdSense, which serves ads independently of the content — ad placement never affects what we write or which forms we cover.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it. There's no formal correction log, but any factual error reported to us is checked against the official DMV source and corrected as soon as possible.
Not Legal or Official Advice
Guides on this site are meant to help you understand and complete a form — they aren't legal advice, and they don't replace official guidance from the DMV. Always confirm requirements on dmv.ca.gov or with your local DMV office before an official transaction.
